Reinsman Tom Thumb 1/2" Smooth Copper Snaffle Mouth
#427 – 6″ Cheeks – Stage B
The Tom Thumb mouth is curved so there is less risk of a nut-cracker effect. Ride with gentle hands because bit can be severe. Copper causes the horse’s mouth to salivate which keeps it soft and supple to the rider. Copper is a soft metal – check for signs of wear before each use.
Moving from Direct Reining to Neck Reining? Stage B is all about transition, with the introduction of leverage and curb pressure. Short Shanked bits and Half-Gags comprise Stage B.
GOLDEN GLIDE BUSHINGS
• Further enhance the smoothness of the independent cheek movement allowing for more precise cues
• Eliminate the cheek connection from pinching the horse’s lips
• Smooths the movement of the cheek piece for better feel and performance
